Kenny McCormick: Bio, Age, Character, Life, Weight

Kenneth James “Kenny” McCormick is among the main protagonists in the adult animated sitcom South Park and the sequel South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut.

He is a poor 9-year-old boy from South Park, Colorado, who is mates with Eric Cartman, Stanley “Stan” Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, & Leopold “Butters” Stotch. Kenny dies frequently, but always comes back to life with no one noticing. This was a running gag in the series, showing up in almost every episode until Season 6, when Kenny went on hiatus and temporarily lost his status as a main character after being killed off at the end of Season 5. He does, however, return at the end of Season 6.

Kenny’s deaths have been significantly reduced in all subsequent episodes. Despite his extended absence in Season 6, he receives the same amount of attention as Stan, Kyle, and Cartman as part of an entire cast in which they are frequently depicted as main characters either separately or collectively, relying on the episode. Kenny is among the two main main characters of the Superheroes Saga and the lead character of “The Poor Kid ” as Mysterion.

Appearance: Kenny McCormick

Kenny is dressed in an orange parka, orange pants, and brown gloves. He wears his hood most of the time, allowing only his eyes to be seen. Under his hood, he has cluttered blond hair that resembles Tweek Tweak’s. On occasion, generally whenever he is terrified or crying, he will pull the strings on his hood to tighten it, though he did this once after Cartman farted in a poorly ventilated space on an aeroplane (“Osama bin Laden Has Farty Pants”). Kenny wears a light purple parka with a part of his hair peeking out the hood, black pants, and brown boots with a black stripe down the side in “South Park is Gay!” Later in the episode, he purchases a pink and fluffy parka.

He is seen wearing hardly anything beneath his parka at times, as shown in the episodes “The Tooth Fairy Tats 2000,” the film, “Lil’ Crime Stoppers,” and “Lice Capades,” though he usually wears a white T-shirt. Kenny has blue eyes in the scene “Starvin’ Marvin,” where a mutant turkey tries to pull out his eye and a blue iris is briefly visible in a close-up. In Good Times With Weapons, Kenny’s eyes are animated to show his blue iris. However, Kenny is portrayed as having hazel eyes in an early draught of South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut. Kenny is one of the only the boys who falls asleep in his underwear, as depicted in the film and “A Very Crappy Christmas” (Kyle, Cartman, & Stan all wear pyjamas, and Tweek Tweak rarely sleeps and thus has no pyjamas, unless in “Child Abduction is Not Funny”).

In other episodes, however, he is seen napping in his parka. His parka appears to be made from parts of his bedroom curtains, as we can see his curtains in the background when Kenny practises opera singing in the episode “Quintuplets 2000.”

Kenny McCormick: Personality

Kenny is the group’s most sexually experienced and knowledgeable member. In previous episodes, when an unfamiliar term is introduced to Stan, Kyle, and Cartman, Kenny is called upon to explain, even though Kenny does not always know what the term means. His whispered responses are frequently met with laughter or further perplexity. Kenny does appear to behave differently when he is not wearing his parka.

In “The Ring,” after learning that his girlfriend Tammy Warner had a “B.J.” (oral sex) with another boy in a T.G.I. Hence, in Friday’s parking lot, he decided to pursue that wish all through the episode and ultimately got his wish, though he later died of syphilis. In “Fat Camp,” he offered Howard Stern a “hummer” (also oral sex) for ten dollars in order to promote his Krazy Kenny Show.

Kenny McCormick: Power and Abilities

One of Kenny’s most well-known abilities is his ability to resurrect the dead. He is also shown to be skillful with weapons, as evidenced by his use of a shuriken to strike Butter’s eye in the episode “Good Times With Weapons.”

He is also quite strong, as evidenced by the fact that he grabs Death by the wrist, spins him off a tricycle onto his back, and leaps on him, sending all his bones flying out, without tiring. He possesses the ability to resurrect himself after being killed dozens of times in each episode. In “Faith Hilling,” he was also able to put two girls in the hospital after beating them up.

Heroic Acts

  • Kenny has used his supernatural ability to never die permanently in numerous acts of heroism. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Fixing a backup generator at a hospital by connecting two wires with himself is an instance of him using his immortality to help.
  • Rather than trick-or-treating, Kenny and the boys try to catch the Redbox Killers while attired as Iron Man in “A Nightmare On FaceTime,” with Kenny giving the boys commands while dressed as the Avengers.
  • Karen is guarding his younger sister.
  • Wishes for the world to be secured rather than escaping Hell, which enables him to enter Heaven and save the universe from eternal punishment.
  • In “Super Best Friends,” he saves Heaven from Satan’s army.
  • As Mysterion, he was a vigilante.

Kenny is fiercely protective of her younger sister Karen, earning her the moniker “Guardian Angel.” Karen looks to Kenny for comfort and protection, and Kenny is regarded as a selfless big brother.
