One of the primary characters in ‘The Amazing World of Gumball’ is Richard Buckley Watterson. He fulfills the function of the Watterson family’s father. Richard Watterson<\/strong>, on the other hand, is neither wise nor in any manner a good example for his kids, unlike the conventional father. Richard has genuine intentions & loves his family despite his bad counsel and impolite demeanor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Richard Watterson resembles his daughter Anais in appearance. Both of them are pink rabbits, however Richard is rather chubby and Anais is very little. On either side of his cheeks, he has tiny, black whiskers, and his eyelashes are extraordinarily long. Richard has been shown in various episodes acting in ways that are very childlike. His strategies include, among others, believing in ghosts, participating in a few of Gumball’s misadventures, and many others. Additionally, he has an extremely sarcastic sense of humor. He loves to tease people and make them laugh, but he detests it when others do the same to him, claiming that “it’s only hilarious when it occurs to someone else.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In “The Authority,” it was revealed that Richard’s personality was caused by Granny Jojo’s lifetime of protection, which caused him to develop into an uneducated and slothful adult. In ‘The Man,’ it was revealed that when Richard was a child, his father abandoned him under the pretext that he was going to the store to purchase milk. Even after reaching adulthood, Richard continued to hold onto it out of denial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite his careless moments, Richard has occasionally proven to be a good dad and enforcer of rules. When Gumball & Darwin were suspected of forging documents, he was prepared to write a suspension card. He could also get upset, and he disciplined his two sons for allegedly bullying a newborn named Anais  In addition, he was eager to find employment to help his family, even if difficult circumstances prevented him from succeeding in his attempts to become a pizza delivery boy and desk office worker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite Nicole’s claim that Richard was always competent of going to the store, he is also demonstrated to be a poor driver. Gumball assisted him in releasing the handbrake, and he then switched the gear to reverse, slamming into the Robinsons’ vehicle. After eventually shifting the vehicle into the proper gear (again with Gumball’s assistance), the driver crashed.
